The Pricing Challenge
Most new mentors on NexArc either price too low (undervaluing their time and signalling low quality) or too high (zero bookings). This guide helps you find the right rate.

Pricing Strategies
1. Start Low, Raise with Reviews
Set your rate 20–30% below market for your first 10 sessions. Once you have 5+ positive reviews, raise to market rate. Social proof justifies higher pricing.
2. Student Discounts
Offer a 40–50% discount for students/builders under 25. Many NexArc builders are students — this builds goodwill and volume.
3. Package Pricing
Offer bundles: “4 sessions for the price of 3” encourages repeat bookings and gives you continuity with mentees.
4. Free First Session
Consider offering one free 15-minute intro call. This lowers the barrier and converts browsers into paying mentees.
The Psychology of Pricing
- ₹999 feels cheaper than ₹1,000 (use x99 pricing)
- Anchor high: If your 60-min session is ₹5,000, your 30-min at ₹2,999 feels like a deal
- Never price at ₹0: Free sessions get cancelled 40% of the time. Even a ₹299 session ensures commitment
When to Raise Prices
- When you have 10+ reviews with 4.5+ average rating
- When you’re getting 80%+ booking rate (demand exceeds supply)
- When you reduce availability (scarcity drives value)
- When you earn a “Top Mentor” badge on NexArc
